Founded in 2009, Tessive has been developing methods to better capture the real world in cinema cameras. Their first product, the Time Filter, was a system that fundamentally changed the way motion is captured with cine cameras. The Time Filter was introduced in June 2011.  It met with excellent reviews and is used in many productions.  

Adopting the latest technology, Tessive has now introduced the Time Shaper software system, which can use high frame rate capture to synthesize a wide variety of shutters when rendering output footage. This technique yields stunning motion with no extra equipment during shooting and allows control of motion representation during post production.

The founder of Tessive is Tony Davis. Before starting Tessive, Mr. Davis was Director of Engineering for a highly successful line of medical and industrial X-ray computed tomography systems at 3M. Tony's background is in Electrical Engineering, specializing in advanced signal acquisition and processing. He was also privileged to head a fantastic technical team as the VP of Technology at RealD Inc. until 2019.

John Kouns is the Senior Engineer at Tessive. He studied Electrical Engineering and Philosophy at New Mexico Tech. His engineering experience is quite diverse and includes robotics, explosives testing, X-ray CT system design and systems integration.
